Mini Le Creuset Utensils Cook up Giant Smiles!

I have more culinary items, gadgets, and gizmos than you can shake a stick at. And it’s all in a kitchen that can fit two people comfortably; three, if you don’t mind saying excuse me or having a toe stepped on once, or twice, okay…maybe three times. The last thing I need to even think about is turning left into the parking lot of Cooks Warehouse or getting off the exit that leads to Sur La Table.

At one time, kitchen items I would never had included because of my fiesty resistance were anything silicone. I can’t say why, exactly, except I looked at silicone items as wiggly, jiggly, thin, and well just plain different. But, I finally caved and bought a pink, breast-cancer supporting, silicone pastry brush at Walmart. Well? Put a fork in me, I am done. The days of losing brush bristles while distributing melted butter over garlic knots are over!

It was all over thereafter. Silicone items are like Pringles; once you pop you can’t stop! I picked up condiment spoon (that I actually use as a spatula), then and tiny pastry brush. Two perfect little instruments for a use with smaller servings. For this single girl, cooking with them is culinary heaven!

Now, the Le Creuset I bought were a little pricey, but that was a combination of the store and the fact they are Le Creuset. I have seen less expensive brands out there, but I know my Le Creuset will last for years to come if cared for properly, much like their stoneware products I use.

What do you think of silicone bakeware and utensils?
