Got no lemons… make lemonade!!
We do some occasional catering, mostly BBQ. Nothing goes better with BBQ, other than beer, than Lemonade. Okay, Red Cream Soda makes a good partner with smoked foods as well. Nonetheless, we are talking about sweet, puckery lemonade!!
When catering for a few hundred people, you don’t have time to squeeze a few bushels of lemons. You gotta reach for the instant stuff. Though the powdered was inexpensive and easy, it was sweet and had an off, artificial taste. Long story short, we came up with our own “signature” blend.
Use a 50/50 blend of powdered lemonade mix and liquid lemon juice with sugar. Prepare the lemon juice portion according to the recipe on the bottle. Do the same with the powdered lemonade. Instead of the full strength powdered, use the 1/2 sugar Country Time.
People rave about our lemonade at catered functions. If you are looking for the right flavor profile for your own signature lemonade, give this a try.

Thanks for the tip I’m going to try this. Last time I made lemonade I used the bottle recipe and it was aweful (I think it expired) It’s on my shopping list and I’ll pick up both.
