Odds are, you’ve probably heard of Colin Cowie, the fabulous designer to the stars. Counting Oprah, Jerry Seinfeld, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez among his client roster, it’s safe to say that the man knows his stuff. He recently released his latest book, Colin Cowie Chic: The Guide to Life as It Should Be, so for those of us that can’t afford to hire Colin to design and execute our next soiree, this is the next best thing. His top three tips for throwing a stressfree event:
1. Plan ahead. Put out serving pieces, place settings and glasses the night before.
2. Make space. Keep tables uncluttered, and rearrange furniture to give guests plenty of room to mingle.
3. Take a moment. “Twenty minutes before guests arrive, sit down and relax.”
