A Sili Sling for Your Thanksgiving Turkey

sili.jpgCooking the turkey for the upcoming Thanksgiving Day holiday?  Then you know what a pain it can sometimes be to get the darn bird out of the roasting pan.

Well, the folks at William Bounds, Ltd. are coming to your rescue with their new Sili Sling (love the name!).  Priced at $19.99, it just might be the bargain you’re looking for.  Just put the perforated liner on the bottom of your roasting pan, and put the turkey on top of it.  When the turkey is done cooking, pick up the sling by the handles and move the bird onto a cutting board.  Voila!

The sling can hold up to 18 pounds and withstand temperatures of up to 600 degrees.  It doesn’t stain or absorb odors, and cleans really easily.  Lest you think this is a once-a-year gadget that is going to make its way to the nether regions of your cabinets, you can also use it for your roasts and fish.

You can order online here or find it in some of your local retailers.

Happy roasting!

That is hilarious…yet practical. My mother and grandmother are notorious for having the turkey fall completely apart when they try to get it out of the roasting pan, and in the past we’ve ended up with a terrifying (but still delicious) centerpiece of turkey parts piled on a plate.
