French Steak Knives for Your Kitchen

steak-knives.jpgMe and sharp knives just don’t mix, and I have 10 stitches in my left hand to prove it.  But if I was on the prowl for a great set of steak knives, I’d turn a keen eye to this set from Alain Saint-Joanis.

Dishwasher-safe, and made from stainless steel and resin, it comes from a 130-year-old family business that is based in south-central France, an area that has been known for its cutlery since the dawn of the Middle Ages.

A set of six can be had for $98 from the folks at Anthropologie.  Although I love the tropical colors of the set pictured here, they also have a set in blues and greens as well.

Happy shopping!

I know what you mean about sharp knives. My daughter was traumatized by a cut I got when she was barely 2 and a half and she still remembers it 7 years later! I like those tropical colors, too. Kind of like Rachael Ray’s knives.
