Knives and me are just not a good mix.  Many a cut featured here and there on my hands, the worst was a Superbowl Party some 10 years ago.  I was making an Avocado, Bacon and Tomato Salad (which is delicious, by the way), and was trying to get out a very uncooperative avocado pit out in a hurry.  Well, you can probably guess what happened.  Holding the avocado half in my hand, I stabbed the knife to get out the pit … right through to my palm.  An ER visit and 10 stitches later, that’s the last time I held an avocado that way.  But I digress…
