The Ove Glove: As Seen on TV

It’s been a long time since I ordered anything that I saw in an infomercial or in one of those “as seen on tv” commercials. But this past weekend, I gave in.

I was making dinner for my brother and getting increasingly frustrated by my Orca gloves and silicone pot holders. I made a mental note to do something about this. As my wife and I strolled through the local department store, I saw my potential salvation…

The Ove Glove.

One of my biggest complaints is that most tools for handling hot things are just not flexible enough and offer no control of pots and handles. The Ove Glove solves that problem– it’s a soft and flexible full hand glove w/ ribs of silicone on the outside that offer a good deal of protection against slippage.

Often, when I’m cooking barbecue I need to grab a hot pan or handle and move it– with the Ove Glove protecting against temperatures up to 540, that should be no problem. I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship.

From their website: Ove Glove oven mitt makes it possible to never burn your hands again while cooking! Dont you hate when you are reaching in the stove for a pan of cookies and your oversized oven mitt falls off? With the new Oven Glove this will never happen again. Oversized thick oven mitts are way too big for your hand and make it impossible to get a good grip on pans.

Made of NOMEX and KEVLAR material, the Ove Glove oven mitt increases the time you can hold extreme hot pans.

Ove Glove oven mitt will NOT catch fire or even melt when exposed to open flame.

The Ove Glove oven mitt is also machine washable!

One note of caution: don’t get them wet and try to use them. You WILL get burned. They also are not meant to protect against steam. Use caution.
